Dervla and Kate, are being detained for their own safety in adjacent rooms in an old school building. The two are strangers who strike up conversation through the wall and are forced into an uneasy camaraderie by the extreme situation.
The wall also splits the audience into two separate factions - their experience also subjective and limited. Despite being able to hear both characters, the audience can only see one of them and nobody has the whole story.
