Final Two Performances!
Friday 31st Jan Saturday 1st Feb 2025, 7.30pm, the Mill Theatre, Dundrum
Created in collaboration with the Elders Group and Floating World Productions at the Mill Theatre, Dundrum, ‘The Somewhat Imagined…’ tells the story of 1930s Abbey playwright Teresa Deevy.
The Elders were fascinated by Deevy’s disappearance and eventual rediscovery and the play reflects their own issues alongside Deevy’s struggle to be a writer living with profound deafness at a time of great political change.
Based on the group’s research and reflections, the show is a highly relatable documentary-drama-biography, which gives fascinating insights into a forgotten time.
